Department of Foundry Production of Ferrous and Nonferrous Metals of NTUU “I. Sikorsky KPI “, trains specialists in the educational programs «Computer Based Casting Processes».

We train high level professionals and provide all opportunities for their further successful career path within modern enterprises, international and Ukrainian companies, where the acquired knowledge and skills are highly valued by employers. Our graduates implement automated and computerized production facilities based on modern digital and computer technologies and design a variety of technologies in the metallurgical, aircraft, engineering industries, and work as consultants on engineering issues in the industry.

The best students have the opportunity to complete their studies in Germany and receive two diplomas of higher education. Acquired knowledge and practical skills give an awesome opportunity to start your own business.

The department trains specialists in the field of development of new materials and science-intensive technologies for their production and formation; able to determine material properties and provide quality assessment of finished products, work on the automation of technological processes using modern means of computer and information technology.

The form of education is full-time. In addition, there is an on-the- job training at the expense of the state budget of Ukraine and legal entities and individuals.

Terms of study:

bachelor – 3 years 10 months;
Master of OPP – 1 year 4 months;
Master of ONP – 1 year 9 months;
Doctor of Philosophy – 4 years.
doctor of sciences – 2 years.

Graduates of the department work in institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, research institutions of the related branch, design institutes, organizations and enterprises of almost all industries, which use various casting processes to manufacture parts for machines and mechanisms from metals and alloys.
