Education is the cognitive activity of people to acquire knowledge, skills and abilities or to improve them. The process and result of assimilation by a person of a certain system of scientific knowledge, practical skills and associated with a particular level of development of its mental, cognitive and creative activities, as well as moral and aesthetic culture, which together determine the social face and individual identity of this person. Higher education – the degree of knowledge acquired in institutions of higher education (universities) on the basis of complete general secondary education, required by highly qualified specialists in various fields of economics, science and culture.
Higher education, which is obtained in a higher education institution as a result of a consistent, systematic and purposeful process of mastering the content of education, is based on a complete general secondary education and ends with the acquisition of certain qualifications based on state certification.
According to the new Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, which entered into force on September 28, 2017, higher education is defined as a set of systematized knowledge, skills and practical skills, ways of thinking, professional, ideological and civic qualities, moral and ethical values, other competencies acquired in a higher education institution (scientific institution) in the relevant field of knowledge with a certain qualification at the levels of higher education, which in terms of complexity are higher than the level of complete general secondary education.
Education accelerates the process of development and formation of a person as a person, a subject, ensures the formation of his spirituality, worldview, values and moral principles. It is designed to help the subject learn values and act successfully in cultural life.
Education is one of the best ways for a person to enter the world of science and culture, because it is in the process of getting an education that a person learns cultural values. [1]
